Hookup & Operating Notes

Power Supply Sizing: Ensure your input power source can deliver the full power required by your load. The converter will fold back output voltage if input power is insufficient.

Example: If your 5V load draws 8A (40W) but your 12V input supply can only provide 2A (24W), the converter will reduce output to 3V (24W ÷ 8A = 3V).

Wiring:

Input (8-36V DC): Red wire = +V, Black wire = -V 18 AWG minimum (use thicker gauge for runs over 50 cm)
Output (5V DC): Yellow wire = +V, Black wire = -V 16 AWG minimum (use thicker gauge for runs over 50 cm)
For wire runs exceeding 50cm (20"), use heavier gauge wire to compensate for voltage drop
Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated
