The SystemBase WCS-232 converts RS-232 signals to Bluetooth and Bluetooth to RS-232. If two devices both use a WCS-232, wireless 1:1 data communication between the devices is available. The compact design allows it to be easily connected to a PC, laptop, PDA, or other device and is fully compatible with the serial COM ports in PCs.

Enhanced Communication Distance
Bluetooth is an industry-standard for short-range wireless communication for personal use. At the time when it was first developed, the distance was approximately 10m. However, using the Bluetooth connection to a variety of devices based on the communication range is classified into three kinds of classes. Class 1 offers a communication distance up to 100m, Class 2 is 30m, Class 3 supports communications up to 10m.
Bluetooth v2.0 + EDR
‘EDR’ stands for ‘Enhanced Data Rate’. THE EDR allows fast data transfer technology in Bluetooth communication. Bluetooth is initially developed to support the communication speed up to 1Mbps, but when the EDR function is used, the maximum communication speed is increased up to 3Mbps.
