📋 Overview

These 3mm Blue (455–465nm) LEDs put out a crisp, bright 4,500–5,500 mcd through a clear transparent lens — perfect for indicators, flashlights, decorative lighting, and status displays. With a wide 30° viewing angle and standard 20mA drive current, they're an easy drop-in upgrade for any breadboard or through-hole PCB project, whether you're just getting started with electronics or building out a full production run.

⭐ Key Features

  • Bright 4,500–5,500 mcd luminous intensity
  • True blue emitting color (455–465nm)
  • Wide 30° viewing angle (50% power angle) for even light spread
  • Clear (water-clear transparent) lens package
  • Standard 2.54mm pin spacing — fits breadboards and perfboard directly
  • Low forward current draw (20mA) for efficient, long-lasting use
  • Available in convenient 10, 25, 50, and 100-piece packs

💡 Tips

Always use a current-limiting resistor with this LED — running it directly off a battery or supply voltage above 3.2V without one can burn it out almost instantly. For a typical 5V supply, a 100–150Ω resistor works well at 20mA.

Want to skip the resistor math entirely? Check out our 20mA LED Driver. It eliminates the need for current-limiting resistors and lets you drive a single LED or a series string of LEDs at various drive voltages.
