The CHIPSEN RCPORT-TD410 Bluetooth Class 1 Wireless RS232 Serial Adapter with DSUB9 Female connector converts RS232 serial data to Bluetooth and transmits and receives it wirelessly to other compatible devices. It is comparable to the TD400 Serial Adapter with the added benefit of a built-in battery for operation without a DC power source.  

The RCPORT-TD410 uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) v5.3, the latest Bluetooth standard. Featuring long-distance Class 1 (+20dBm) capability, it supports 1,000 feet of wireless transmit distance and can be extended up to 4,000 feet using optional antennas.

Any TD400 Series device can communicate with any other TD400 Series device. For example, a TD410 (with a DSUB connector) can be attached to a piece of test equipment, and communicate with a TD420 (with a USB connector) attached to a PC.

Operating Modes

The TD400 series of adapters offer three operating modes: 1:1 Auto-Pairing, 1:1 Node-Switching and 1:7 Multiconnection.

1:1 Auto-Pairing

One TD400-Series adapter in Master Mode can auto-pair with one in Slave Mode simply by setting one to Master and one to Slave and keeping them near each other until they automatically connect. No configuration software is needed.

1:1 Node-Switching

When one TD400-Series adapter is set to Master Mode and multiple adapters are set to Slave mode using the TD400 Configuration Software, the Master device can individually communicate with any of the Slave devices by selecting the Slave device number on the Master's Device Selection Dial.

1:7 Multi Connection

When one TD400-Series adapter is set to Master Mode and multiple adapters are set to Slave mode using the TD400 Configuration Software, the Master device can communicate with all of the Slaves simultaneously by setting the Master's Device Selection Dial to "M".
