This MicroSD TF (TransFlash) card reader and writer includes 3.3V regulator and level shifters, making it safe to interface with most 5V and 3.3V microcontrollers, including Arduino and Arduino-compatible microcontrollers. It features an SPI interface for communication and is compatible with the standard Arduino SD card library.

The Arduino IDE (with the Arduino SD Library installed) will interface directly with this module to create files and read/write to them, and to move through directories on the SD card. This module can be used with other microcontrollers using the SPI interface, however, we recommend using it with the Arduino IDE because of its SD card library support.

Features:

  • Supports Micro SD (2GB max) and Micro SDHC (32G max high speed) cards
  • The level conversion circuit board can interface with 5V or 3.3V levels
  • Power supply input: 4.5V ~ 5.5V. The module includes a voltage regulator circuit to support the 3.3V level requirements
  • Communication interface: Standard SPI
  • Control Interface: A total of six pins, GND, VCC, MISO, MOSI, SCK, CS
  • Mounting holes: 4 x M2 screw holes for easy positioning. The hole diameter is 2.2mm
  • Size: 41mm x 24mm (1.6 x 0.95 inches)

Interface Description:

The module has a male right-angle header on 2.54mm centers.  It can be inserted directly into a breadboard, or female Dupont-style jumpers can be used for the connections.

  • CS: SPI Chip Select
  • SCK: SPI Clock
  • MOSI: SPI MOSI, connects to MOSI on MCU
  • MISO: SPI MISO, connects to MISO on MCU. Please note that the silkscreen may be incorrectly labeled ‘MOSO’ on some versions
  • VCC: 4.5V ~ 5.5V DC power
  • GND: Ground, must be common with the MCU

Package includes:
