The CHIPSEN BoT-nLE521M module is an OEM-style, cost-effective, low-power, true system-on-chip (SoC) for Bluetooth Smart (Bluetooth low energy) BLE applications. Integrating the BoT-nLE521M into your design enables robust BLE master nodes to be built with very low total bill-of-material costs while greatly simplifying and streamlining the design and certification process.

BoT-nLE521M combines an excellent RF transceiver with an industry-standard enhanced Cortec-M4 CPU, in-system programmable flash memory, 24kB RAM, and many other powerful supporting features and peripherals.

The BoT-nLE521M is suitable for systems where very low power consumption is required. Very low-power sleep modes are available. Short transition times between operating modes further enable low power consumption.

RF Certification Fee Exemption

If you create a wireless product using an uncertified module, you must obtain your own wireless certification. The BoT-nLE521M already has multiple certifications (SIG, KC (including wireless EMC), FCC, CE and TELEC), reducing the cost and certification process of manufacturing your wireless products.

Bluetooth Connection Methods

BoT-nLE521 Master and Slave Modules

A BoT-nLE521 slave module can communication with a BoT-nLE521M master module. 

BoT-nLE521 Master and Slave Configuration

In this configuration the BoT-nLE521M Master will attempt to connect to the BoT-nLE521 Slave. If the Slave accepts the request, the connection is successful.   

When communicating between modules there must be a Master and Slave pair. Modules of the same role cannot communicate with each other, i.e. two Slaves cannot communication with each other.
