The Sollae Systems SIG-5451 is a compact, cloud‑enabled2‑port digital output I/O gateway that makes it easy to switch and schedule equipment remotely over Ethernet. Simply connect it to your network and the free Sollae IoT Cloud, and you can turn devices ON/OFF, generate pulses, and automate control from any web browser—PC, tablet, or smartphone.

What is the Sollae IoT Cloud (PDF)?

Designed for industrial and commercial applications, the SIG‑5451 uses relay outputs (NO/NC) to control lights, pumps, fans, doors, alarms, and other loads, even in harsh environments. With cloud‑based email notifications and event rules, it can also respond automatically to other ezTCP devices and sensors.

Easy to Use – From Power‑On to Cloud in Minutes

The SIG‑5451 is built for quick deployment:

  1. Connect hardware
    • Apply DC 5 V power
    • Plug in Ethernet (10/100Base‑T, auto‑sense, straight or cross‑over)
    • Wire your load to the relay outputs (NO/NC contacts)
  2. Discover and configure
    • Install the free spFinder tool on Windows
    • Automatically find the device on your LAN
    • Choose DHCP or a static IP and save with one click
  3. Register to Sollae Cloud
    • Create or log into your free Sollae Cloud account
    • Enter the device’s Client ID from spFinder
    • The device connects securely via MQTT over TLS 1.2
  4. Start controlling and automating
    • Use the web dashboard to toggle outputs or send pulse commands with a button click
    • Set time‑based schedules (like smartphone alarms) to switch devices automatically
    • Configure event rules to react to other ezTCP devices (e.g., turn on a fan when a temperature gateway crosses a threshold)

No custom programming or complex software is required—everything is handled through spFinder and the Sollae Cloud web interface.

Ideal for Industrial & Commercial Control

With its industrial temperature range (-40°C ~ +85°C), surge protection, and relay isolation, the SIG‑5451 fits reliably into:

  • Factories & plants – control motors, contactors, signal lamps, valves, or stack lights
  • Building & facility management – switch fans, pumps, gates, access control, or exhaust systems
  • Warehouses & cold storage – control defrost heaters, lighting, or alarms
  • Telecom & IT sites – remotely power‑cycle equipment, fans, or auxiliary devices
  • Utility and infrastructure sites – control pumps, blowers, or indicator devices in remote locations

Because it talks to Sollae Cloud over MQTT with TLS 1.2 and client certificate authentication, it is suitable for distributed, multi‑site deployments where security and reliability matter.

Simple Email Alerts & Cross‑Device Control

Once registered to Sollae Cloud, you can configure:

  • Email notifications
    • Get notified when an output changes state
    • Receive alerts from event rules (e.g., when another sensor or gateway triggers an action)
  • Event‑based control between devices
    • Use cloud rules so a change on one device (e.g. SIG‑5561 temperature gateway or another SIG‑5451/SIG‑5601) automatically controls the outputs on this SIG‑5451
    • Build simple IoT logic without writing code—just define conditions and actions in the cloud UI
  • Time‑based schedules
    • Schedule outputs ON/OFF at set times or days
    • Ideal for lighting, signage, ventilation, or routine process control

All of this is managed centrally from the Sollae Cloud web interface, with multi‑user access if required.
